Operationalising Social Protection for TB Care and Management: Implementation and Policy Lessons

KNCV is hosting this opportunity to learn how social protection can help make tuberculosis (TB) care more accessible, equitable and person-centred.

5 of August, 2026
TB is not only a health challenge, it also has a profound social and economic impact on individuals and families. Many people affected by TB face financial hardship, food insecurity, stigma, and emotional distress, making it more difficult to stay consistent during treatment, or even complete it. Social protection measures such as cash assistance, health insurance, psychosocial support, welfare schemes, and community-based services can play a vital role in helping people access care and stay on treatment.

KNCV invites you for this engaging webinar as experts, researchers, policymakers, and programme leaders share practical lessons from implementing social protection interventions for TB in Nepal, Indonesia, India, and Viet Nam. Drawing on recent research and real-world programme experiences, speakers will discuss what works, the challenges encountered, and how countries can strengthen support systems for people affected by TB.
