GOVERNANCE
The ‘Koninklijke Nederlandse Centrale Vereniging tot bestrijding der Tuberculose’ (KNCV or KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation) is an association of Members. The day-to-day management is formed by the Executive Board and Management Team. KNCV has a two-tiered supervisory governance model, through the Board of Trustees and the Members Association. The latter is the ultimate decision-making body.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AND EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
As of May 1 2020, Dr Mustapha Gidado (MD, PhD), our Executive Director, leads the organization. Mario Willemsen serves as a Deputy Director, appointed by the Executive Director in consultation with the Board of Trustees. The Deputy Director advises and supports the Executive Director and is mandated with delegated responsibilities and representation as deposited at the Chamber of Commerce.
The Executive Committee advises the ED on statutory, administrative, strategic and personnel decisions. The Executive Committee (ExCom) composed of the Executive Director plus:
- Mario Willemsen, Director Finance & Administration Division
- Agnes Gebhard, Director TB Elimination and Health System Innovation
- Emmy van der Grinten, Director Operations Division
WORKS COUNCIL
In accordance with the Works Councils Act, KNCV has a Works Council.

KNCV ‘Good Governance’ practices are described in the KNCV Governance & Management Framework is in compliance with the expectations of Goede Doelen Nederland and the Wbtr “Wet bestuur en toezicht rechtsorganen”.
In determining the remuneration policy and remuneration of our Executive Director, KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation adheres to Goede Doelen Nederland’s advisory scheme for the remuneration of the management of charitable organizations (“Adviesregeling Beloning Directeuren van Goede Doelen”), which finds its base in the ‘Wet Normering Topinkomens’ (WNT) and the code of governance for charitable organizations (formerly “Code Wijffels”, currently SBF Good Governance Code; see www.goededoelennederland.nl).
