Botswana

The work of KNCV during the Challenge TB project in Botswana mainly focused on providing technical support in various technical areas of TB and TB/HIV control.

Our technical expertise has led to the development of a five year strategic plan aligned with the Global End TB Strategy. The plan was the result of an earlier external review, also led by KNCV on the integration of TB-HIV-hepatitis program.

Botswana will also be the first country ever to conduct a combined national TB and HIV survey and KNCV has been providing the necessary technical assistance to develop an integrated survey protocol. Implementation is set to begin in June 2018.
