A grateful farewell and a warm welcome: Changes in KNCV's Board of Trustees

At the General Assembly held on Thursday, 12 June, we marked an important transition within our Board of Trustees. As we said goodbye to two esteemed members the General Assembly appointed, we also had the honor of welcoming two new trustees.
Farewell to our departing Trustees
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Johan van 't Hag and Rolph van der Hoeven, who have completed two terms of service on the Board of Trustees of KNCV TB Plus.
We are profoundly grateful for the time, energy, and strategic vision they brought to the board. Their presence will be missed, but their legacy will endure in the projects and progress they helped initiate.
Welcoming our new Trustees
Looking ahead, we are excited to welcome Saskia Bomas and Michiel van Rees Vellinga to KNCV's Board of Trustees. Their expertise and diverse perspectives will greatly enrich the work of the board. Their expertise from the corporate world and shared commitment to KNCV’s mission come at a key moment, as we shape our strategic approach jointly with the KNCV network for 2026–2030 to strengthen and direct KNCV’s voice and leadership in global health through impactful projects to innovate, save lives and End TB.
On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I am pleased to welcome Saskia Bomas and Michiel van Rees Vellinga as our newest members. We look forward to their insights and perspectives, and to a constructive and collegial collaboration. I wish them every success as they take up their new responsibilities in overseeing and guiding the organization.
At the same time, I would like to extend my warmest thanks to Johan van ‘t Hag and Rolph van der Hoeven, who are stepping down after eight years on the Board. Their thoughtful contributions, particularly in the audit committee, have been of great value. In times of uncertainty, they offered a steady and considered voice, and we are sincerely grateful for their commitment and service.
